The well-known brand on the Bulgarian market - Speedy, is now part of the DPD group, which on its own is indicative of the successful performance of the company on the market, its strong competitive advantage and unwavering desire to develop and improve both the core business and all internal processes, and customer relationships.
As part of something bigger and more significant, the requirements for the company are now growing. At the same time, the courier and logistics business is developing dynamically, with e-commerce giving it a strong boost. In order to provide high quality service and quick response, the company relies on modern technologies and tools to provide it with flexibility, speed and accuracy in the execution of daily tasks and in managing the business.
Danail Danailov, Executive Director for Bulgaria, says that their business is one of the most dynamic ones, not only currently, but also before the pandemic. He attributes this, on the one hand, to the fact that they have always offered practical business solutions in transportation, and on the other hand, to the rapid development of e-commerce over the last decade.
The company's business is growing rapidly in both Bulgaria and Romania. In Bulgaria, DPD has over 40,000 corporate clients and another 15,000 in Romania and their number is constantly increasing. This reflects in a constantly growing volume of work, an increasing number of customer interactions, and an inevitable need to implement effective software solutions to enable the company to meet the needs of the business and the ones of the customers.
Having many customers requires a significant degree of speed when managing customer relations, especially when it comes to e-commerce, which has seen steady growth in recent years and a peak during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Managing Director of GeoPost Bulgaria
„In the last 7-8 years, e-commerce has given us the strongest push in our development. In practice, in order to service the most dynamic parts of modern day business, we were required to enter as much as possible into the world of digital technology, software solutions, and various applications, some of which are incorporated in our partnership with Next Consult.“,
shares Danail Danailov, Managing Director of GeoPost Bulgaria.
Almost 8 years ago, Speedy decided to look ahead to the future and search for a solution that could develop with them and be flexible enough to cover their future needs. The implementation of Salesforce started at the Bulgarian company, followed by the Romanian one, and now operates as a unified sales management system. At the moment, in DPD (Bulgaria and Romania) all sales representatives are working with the Salesforce solution. In our country, there are around 30 salespeople, and in Romania - another 25. The constant growth of corporate clients requires an increase in the capacity of the sales teams, especially in the Romanian market, where the business is growing extremely rapidly.
At this stage, Salesforce covers the management of the entire sales process and is actively used by the sales teams in both countries. The plans are that in the future it will be used for other key business processes and activities as well.
"The fact that we are one of the first clients in Bulgaria and continue to use the platform is proof that Salesforce is doing a great job for us and also that we are satisfied with our partnership with Next Consult. Salesforce is the platform that helps us successfully manage our sales process. We could have given up during the first, the second, or the third year. But, on the contrary, we are continuing because we are happy with it.", added Danailov.
