Consultant burnout: How to avoid it? Three effective tactics.

Important Insights from a recent Certinia’s Market Research.

Our partner Certinia, formerly known as FinancialForce, conducted a market research survey, offering valuable insights into how the uncertain economy affects companies' staffing efficiency and employee response to shifting utilization outlooks.

In recent years, economic uncertainty has made consultant burnout more serious, affecting organizations' ability to keep skilled employees and provide excellent customer service.

Certinia conducted a study that explains how the uncertain economy impacts staffing and employee reactions.

Among the findings, 52% of surveyed consultants expressed dissatisfaction due to unfair project allocation or lack of involvement in areas they're experienced in. This feeling of being overlooked or pressured harms satisfaction, burnout, talent retention, and customer happiness.

Here are three ways to improve resource management:

  • Skill Matching:
Integrating skills into project staffing is crucial. Assign projects based on consultants' skills for better outcomes and happier customers.
  • Encourage Choice:
Let consultants choose projects that interest them. This boosts satisfaction and talent retention. Тhis practice can also have a significant positive impact on employee and customer satisfaction. It enhances talent retention and customer delight.
  • Support Aspirations:
Collaboratively track consultant goals for professional growth, aligning projects to their interests.By adopting this approach, consultants can be assigned to projects that allow them to learn new skills from colleagues or gain experience in areas they wish to develop.

Now is the time to review your resource strategy's impact on employee satisfaction and customer projects. A modern approach can save resources and costs, while planning for recovery ensures long-term business success.
