CIMA-99 was founded in 1992 and is the biggest confiture producer in Bulgaria with ambition to become the leading confiture producer in South-Eastern Europe. The product portfolio of the company includes over 350 main products, including confiture, jams, spreads, toppings, creams, syrups, fruit purees, etc.

In 2023, the net sales of the company amount to over BGN 20 million and approximately 65% of the production is exported to over 38 countries in the world, including USA, Israel, Japan, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Spain, etc.

CIMA-99 has over 85 qualified employees as well as a modern production site and Logistics Center in the region of Plovdiv.

The Challenge

In order to enhance the level of business process automation, the company’s management decided to research the options for selection and implementation of a contemporary ERP system. Due to the complexity and dynamic development of those systems, the preparation of a detailed Functional Requirements document was of critical importance for detailing the automation needs.

The Solution

Due to the specific know-how required for definition of ERP Functional Requirements, CIMA-99 turned for support to Next Consult as professional consultants in the area of ERP System Selection and Implementation. On this basis, detailed Functional Requirements for automation of the future state of the business processes were defined, incorporating the world's best practices and the specifics of CIMA-99.

The Benefits

The availability of professionally prepared, clear and detailed ERP Functional Requirements enabled CIMA-99 to transition to a selection procedure for suitable suppliers or vendors of the system, where:

  • The risk from offering unsuitable solutions is minimized;
  • The received implementation offers can be compared on equal terms;
  • The risk of implementing the system outside the defined timeframes and budget is minimized.
