Taming the wind-Together!
Over the past weekend, the team of Next Consult explored the beautiful scenery of the Iskar Reservoir during a wonderful spring team retreat. The teambuilding was part of the BORA Sailing Skills Days, part of the Bora Sailing Corporate League Championship.
It has been part of our corporate philosophy that people should work hard but also dedicate time to renew and enjoy each other's company. The team retreat helped us get to know each other more, now that our team is growing. Moreover, it helped us build meaningful connections, strengthen relationships and feel the team spirit of Next Consult!
While being surrounded by the mesmerizing views of the Iskar Reservoir, we learned the theory behind sailing as a sport. We faced the wind and learned how to make it work for us while on a sailboat, and we also explored various techniques and strategies to use during a sailing competition.
Experienced sailing instructors helped us prepare for this exciting adventure and shared their tips and tricks for being successful in this sport. Like with almost everything in life, teamwork was a key factor. While on a sailboat, communication and cooperation between the crew members аre extremely important. It helps you come up with the most successful strategy and create synergy between the crew while in the water, so that the boat can tame the wind and make it work in its favor.
It was an unforgettable experience, and we cannot wait to put the skills we learned into practice and work even better as a team!
